Immigrate to Manitoba through the Provincial Nominee Program

For decades, foreign nationals immigrating to the Canadian province of Manitoba have been following the standard procedures in applying for work visas. Thanks to the Provincial Nominee Program, Manitoba is quickly responding to the provincial economic demands.

Under one of the new and most distinctive immigration programs, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), the province is attracting more skilled and talented applicants. People who were nominated by the Manitoba province will benefit from the speedy disposition of their respective immigration and visa applications.

If you are thinking of moving to Manitoba and you meet the criteria of at least one of the categories in the program, you may be able to travel to Canada way earlier than the applicants going through the normal immigration process.

Successful applicants will receive a Manitoba Nomination Certificate, which will speed-up the Canada Permanent Resident application process . Under the Manitoba Nominee Program (MPNP), you may qualify under one of four streams:

  1. Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
  2. Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
  3. International Education Stream
  4. Business Investor Stream

1) Skilled Worker Overseas Stream

The Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas category is for qualified skilled workers who may be outside of Canada but who can demonstrate a strong connection to the province. This program uses a points-based system to assess candidates according to factors such as age, language proficiency, work experience, education and adaptability.

2) Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream (SWM) will nominate applicants who have a strong connection to our province through ongoing employment and sufficient skills, education and training, work experience and official language proficiency to make an immediate and ongoing contribution to the Manitoba economy and our community at large.

  • Manitoba Work Experience Pathway

  • Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway

3) International Education Stream

  • Career Employment Pathway

4) Business Investor Stream

  • Entrepreneur Pathway

  • Farm Investor Pathway

Manitoba selects qualified skilled workers and professionals through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) for the employers in the province that are in need for new employees. However, these skilled workers must have skills and experienced to be able to work in labour market of the province. Manitoba creates an occupation list every year that speak to the demands of the province. Below is the current updated list for occupations in demand for the MPNP:

Customer Reviews

I have now gotten my SECOND visa for working in the US with Visa Place, and I have referred several peers who have successfully gotten visas as well. The team (specifically Danielle, Fadi and Preejo) went above and beyond to ensure that I was very well taken care of. We encountered an issue in the application process (which was no fault of theirs), and the team regrouped and put all hands on deck to resolve it as soon as possible and push my approval past the finish line. It was amazing to say the least and I am so grateful that I can continue my career across the border where the vast majority of work in my industry lies.
